Seems safe to say that Posada still thinks he can catch, but
stats show otherwise. Earlier this week Jorge's wife Laura
tweeted that Posada will be the DH all next season, other news outlets had reported similar things. It makes the most sense that at this time the Yankees use Jesus Montero and add a defense minded catcher as a free agent.
