Oliver Perez to the Yankees? Don't even think about it

While Mets fans celebrated the end of the Olly Perez and Luis Castillo era (or error), Yankee fans still wondered who would be rounding out the end of the rotation. Well if you add the two together you know what that means. Rumors of Perez to the Yankees.

Why in the world would the Yankees want Perez? Yes I get it he is just 29, yes he is a lefty, and yes he once had a bright future. But his velocity has dropped significantly, in spring training he hardly hit 89 on the gun. His control is awful and his attitude is just as bad. I mention that last statement after he refused to be sent down to the minors last year, even though he was terrible.

If the Yanks go out and get Perez, it will show the  sad state of pitching in the MLB, and the Yanks desperation for pitching.
